Pumpkin Cheese Cake Spread

Have you ever woken up and believed that you had no plans or pressing items on your to do list so you decide to make a lazy morning of it and leisurely check your email and catch up on the news and make a few phone calls just to say “Hi, how are ya?” and then realized that WAIT! YOU HAVE TO BE SOMEWHERE IN LESS THAN TWO HOURS AND HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU’RE GOING TO MAKE TO TAKE FOR LUNCH ! ? !

That’s what happened to me this morning.

So, I logged into my trusty Pinterest site and began a search for PUMPKIN.

Because I thought, “Hey, it’s November, I have to make something deliciously Fall-inspired for this pot-luck luncheon at church. And nothing is more deliciously Fall-inspired than a pumpkin dish.”

And, despite how un-delicious the photo above looks, let me assure you, THIS pumpkin cheese cake spread IS delicious.  And FAST!  It took less than 15 minutes to make.

I’m super excited to have this recipe in my repertoire. It’s EASY, it’s FAST, and it’s TASTY.  You can find the original recipe here: http://www.bhg.com/recipe/cheese/pumpkin-cream-cheese-spread/

  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

  1. Combine all ingredients together and mix well in a bowl.
  2. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Easy peasy!
You can spread this delicious pumpkin cheese cake spread on a bagel or your favorite apple/zucchini/pumpkin/nut bread or use it as a festive dip.  What to dip? Graham crackers, ginger snaps, apples, pretzels, your fingers… the possibilities are endless.
